Members of the club provide classes in preparation for the technician examinations, usually once each year. Dates and times will be advertised here.

ARRL Volunteer Examiner examination sessions are held at the end of each class sequence, and at other times during the year as needed.

CURRENT CLASS: APRIL-MAY 2018: This class is for the Technician License. It runs on seven successive Thursday evenings beginning April 5, 2018. On the eighth week, the class culminates in the FCC test on May 24 (see below). Cost of the class: $30. Recommended reference book: ARRL Technicial Class Manual, 2nd or 3rd edition, available either from the instructor for around $30 or from Ham Radio Outlet in Burbank for about $32.

This is the class you want for learning about ham radio. Students who take this class come away with real knowledge and have a good rate of passing the FCC exam, as well as learning how to use their radios.

FCC TEST, MAY 24, 2018: Administered by volunteer examiners (VEs). This test is open to all levels, not just the Technician level. Fee for the FCC test: $15

LOCATION: Both the class and the FCC test will be held at C & M Printing, 10034 Commerce Ave, Tujunga, CA 91042.
